Fern
Day is in and night is out,
Grow, grow, baby sprout!
Winter's dead and spring is born.
Hoist and luster baby corn!

Rains will come to slake your thirst,
Make you big and ably nursed!
Felix, cat, will greet with 'meow',
Every mouse, every crow!

Winds will comb your leafs of green,
This will make your beauty seen!
Village boys‘ll play seek and hide,
Till the skies are out of light.

In your fields of mighty callus
Everyone will find his house.
Farmer’s daughters’ll make you witness,
All their tender, all their sweetness!

Growers’ll make a mighty dollar,
Past your yellow vivid colour.
Cut you down put in bundles,
Haul away in rusted trundles.

Gloomy me will walk fields naked,
Spots of land at pro tem vacant,
With a goblet, by design,
Filled with dainty corn moonshine.

You would cut it,
I’d let grow.
I am staying.
You?
I know…
