The Night. From Russian poetry

Татьяна Буевич Продолжение
The air was cool, the water shone
With sparkling stars. The night put on
Light covers; and the sleepy river
And fragrant bushes, where the triller,
A singing charming nightingale,
Was warbling with the sounds’ gale,
Were watching a young pair of lovers.
Their shady figures were so marvellous,
And thanks to them mist lifted at the night,
And twinkling stars took a delight.
