Pushkin s Blues

Athena
I loved you once, my soul neatly housed:
The glow and the embers of our love.
Yet, ever since, we play like cat and mouse:
You lead me on, I pen poetic stuff.

From loving you in adverbs I exploded.
That stalemate no action verbs produced...
My fluid vowels -- translators have eroded.
God hear my blues! and send each bum a muse.
