В старинном обрамлении,
По-старому все выглядят,
Хотя и есть стремление.
По новому асфальту
Закатанные камни,
По-новому страдают
От пережитков странных...

Are looking old, though they have
The aspiration to be like new...
But they are old, to be true...
And new bricks in the new asphalt are soldered,
And suffering a lot from the moving cars,
They feel after some days as the soldiers,
Which suffers in new vestiges, somehow...
