The Storm

Áåëàÿ Ìàñêà
Darkness fell upon the city –
Blows, and roars, and blasts!
The storm came down to cleanse the city,
Ever young - for ever lasts.
Lightning’s maddening, rain is raging,
Night falls fast – as in a flash;
People running, Nature’s raving
And the sky’s about to crash.
But one window is wide open –
Someone’s listening to the storm.
That’s a little girl – she’s hoping
To adore the fury ever more.
Staring to the skies, she’s waiting
For a flash to burn them down;
On the window-sill she’s sitting,
Getting passers’-by cold frowns.
She is smiling to the blazing
Nature’s powerful reclaim;
She is happy – she is gazing
To the night without a name.
Darkness fell upon the city –
Blows, and roars, and blasts;
The storm came down to cleanse the city,
Ever young - for ever lasts.
