Боже, я устал, пора уже в кровать.
Полнoчь; от вина кружится голова.
Слушаю я шелест волн, лежа на песке.
Это был отличный день.
Утром к морю на пикник мы вчетвером пошли,
Местечко отыскали от людей вдали.
Мы с тобою, Пол и Сью,
Мы смеялись вместе все...
Это был отличный день.
А я гитару захватил;
Под звездами лежали мы
И спели весь "Битлов" репертуар.
И в такой гармонии звучали
"Nowhere Man" и "Let It Be"!
Если мы расстанемся с тобой, моя любовь,

Ссоры наши и обиды позабудь скорей,
Вспомни лучше этот день.
И люди собирались у костра,
А я сидел себе, играл,
