HOW ROSES CAME RED

Roses at first were white
Till they could not agree,
Whether my Sappho's breast
Or they more white should be.
But, being vanquish'd quite,
A blush their cheeks bespread;
Since which, believe the rest,
The roses first came red.
КАК РОЗА СТАЛА АЛОЙ
Белянкой роза была.
Холодная как фарфор.
Хвалилась мне, что бела,
Нежнее, чем грудь Сафо.
Я стих от Сафо прочёл, –
Ведь спорить с цветком нельзя! –
И роза, начав со щёк,
Вдруг алою стала вся.

The nipples were pink

But
Tits were as marble as cold
Embellished them i - decorate
with numerous humbble my roses
The Violets are not the same
When heart-my is blooding inside
For Moon those the flowers - o.k.
Not 've been reading Sappho before !
