The silhouette

Михаил Францман
The yawning sun is shining on the roofs
To consummate the day and hide a lie,
To skulk and rest from crowds of the goofs
In silence of the everlasting night.

The shadows flee and during all these days
The lights are bright and even slightly lewd,
I'm standing on the edge to see the jays -
Those can defeat my melancholic mood.

I lit cigars and spread this faded smoke
In case if it could form your handsome shape,
I need my life to give it for a song
So that you can create a bitter jape.

I am dependent on a word you say
Like massive trees are on the frosty air,
I want to have you in my lonely day,
I want to give you all the liable care.
