Nick was coming home from a party. He’d had a little too much to drink. His head was ringing, he was seeing double, and he was about to vomit. He leaned against a tree to give his tired, shaking feet a moment of rest. All of a sudden, he saw something hovering in the air. Nick couldn’t believe his eyes – it was a flying saucer.
It was huge, cylindrical shaped and very flat. A kind of capsule descended from the UFO and a bunch of ETs (extraterrestrials) came out of it. They were about 3 ft. 4 inches tall with short legs and long arms. They were green, had big eyes and had disagreements concerning Nick, pointing at him with their 3-fingered hands.
After a while, the shortest one, with the biggest head said something significant which quieted the other aliens. He must have been the leader. Without a pause, they took Nick by the arms and legs and threw him into their capsule. His head started reeling and he fell unconscious.
When Nick came to, the first thing he did was to reach for his flask in order to take a gulp of whiskey. But it was gone. Nick was dependent on the bottle and couldn’t think without it.
Regardless, Nick started looking around the inside of the small ship and noticed huge instrument panels and very low ceilings. When Nick made it to the front of the ship he noticed that the aliens looked weird (weirder than normal). Their movements were slow and their eyes were half-closed. The chief lay on his back groaning sorrowfully and they were humming an extraterrestrial tune. Upon closer inspection, Nick found his empty flask.
It was apparent that no one was flying this ship, so trying to save his life, he started pressing buttons and one of the doors opened throwing Nick into the air. As he was falling Nick started screaming and luckily for him landed in a soft haystack. He heard a terrible explosion, and saw a hunk of burning metal hit the ground.
He had no money, no ID, practically no clothes, and worst of all, no whiskey. In addition he was 2000 miles from where the UFO picked him up.
As a result of this he was fired at work, his wife left him, she thought he was seeing another woman, and last, but not least people started saying ‘Did you hear what happened to that Old Nick?’ From then on Nick was known as Old Nick.
