I had a dream- the Earth was flat,
The rivers - dry and black
The mountains bent their crowning peaks
And tortured was my cat.
The sun decided not to shine
And darkness spread its wings,
The world was wrecked, whoever lived
Lost faith in many things.
My friends betrayed me, having stabbed
And left to die alone.
And people were just passing by;
Their hearts were made of stone...
I woke up to find the Earth
Still looking round and green.
The sun was never tired to shine -
My most favoured scene.
When morning came, I found with awe
The world was at its pace,
The skies were high, the cat was grey
And stretched with royal grace.
The rivers- blue, the mountains - high
The most pleasing view -
My friend was standing by my side,
The only friend I knew.
I heard the beating of his heart,
I felt my life complete.
The waking up I don't mind
If dreams like this repeat.
They're not a threat- these dreadful dreams
Nor do I fear the worst,
As long as you are by my side
Each time I need you most.
For true relations can't be risked
By visions of the night.
You are my dear beloved friend!
