The divinity of love

Äìèòðèé Æóêîâ 6
You keep your silence and the wind keeps running by.
I wish to touch your shining smile.
It feels like I have given you a kiss,
That you will surely not miss.

I fall asleep again. And in my dreams
I feel the sacred touch of blessed beams.
The breeze wipes off the borders and the lines.
The waves of sea have washed away confines.

We look into each other’s eyes,
No more pretending, telling lies.
We see the answer: “It is love!”
The words lose sense, and we behoove.

My colorless existence,
My senseless life…
You’ve painted like the salute at midnight,
And doubts have, finally, subsided.

The course of nature never interrupts.
My feelings like the frost on glass engraved
Will someday melt and turn to air you’ll breathe.
And this time, I am sure, you’ll miss.
