A famous poet died at eighty three,
Having successfully achiev'd the top achievements:
Commemorating orders and decrees
Had poured at him, despite his faults and cheatings.
I certainly won't live as long as he,
And I have pass'd the age when fame embrac'd him,
My poetry has no important key,
And I am hardly as pronounced and expressive.
I quite believe: he will remain on top
And will exist as an accepted classic;
His luck and boldness brought him to the spot
That was required by then concerned masses.
Still, I'm amazed how a basic gift
If lucky, as a genius perceiv'd.
