I have regrets about sins and faults -
When I was careless, confused or mistaken,
When didn't learn required nuts'n'bolts,
And didn't think ahead of heart-breaking.
In overwhelming, ever-boiling storms,
Emotions roar in hardly-kept detention.
While puzzled, dreamy mind somewhere roams,
They dominate - being neither shown or mention'd.
I have all kinds of possible regrets,
Which I cannot improve, amend or cure;
To bring to this torment some little sense,
I pick ideas that are simple and pure.
Creating bits and pieces, this and that,
Mind overcomes emotions at the end.
