Sundown

Добровольский Сергей Александров
West side of the sky is burning in red flame -
The roof of heaven puts on its scarlet crown.
Last rays of the sun reflecting former fame,
First herald of the night – sundown.

The darkness coming shortly - the sun is falling.
Withering glares send from another side of a day
And vanish slowly in the sunset’s sprawl,
To bring serenity and serene to the shadow’s play.

The fulminant moment when the sun’s declining,
When day and night are equally confined,
And gloomy clouds on the welkin are twining,
Preparing rest of light to be resigned.

While Moon is young and growing,
There are so many other suns that glowing -
All stars are looking after resting part of Terra,
An ordinary deed in the modern era.
