To the fools

Валерия Пурцеладзе
Sometimes one should go strolling with a fool,
Or drinking with a fool, or simply talking…
To see how empty spaces become full,
While empty words become so thought-provoking…

Sometimes one should go swimming with a fool
Devoid of any stupid superstitions…
Go underwater at a fancy pool
Into the boundless folly of existence.

Sometimes one should go dancing with a fool,
Devoid of any knowledge of the practice.
You see, the fools can hear some magic tunes
And take your foolish platitudes for granted.

Sometimes one should lie naked with a fool,
Counting some rhythmic echoes in the distance,
And counting nameless stars like rare jewels,
And speaking nonsense as the only wisdom.

Sometimes one should go strolling with a fool
And certainly become one. Dressed in crimson,
Just walk beside a fool from night till noon.
The world has never been a place for reason...

Sometimes one only needs a proper fool
To hear those rhythmic echoes in the distance
And see those nameless stars as rare jewels,
Dispersed across the folly of existence.
