Alive and active is the Word
and sharper than the sharpest sword.
It cuts through every veiled thought,
what we have meant, what we have not.
It can so deeply penetrate
our inner self to separate
the grain from the chaff at once.
It knows secrets at a glance.
The Word can read the human mind,
all motivation that's behind.
One cannot from the Spirit hide
all compromises, lies and pride.
It is a mirror that reflects
a soul with its all aspects,
if we are cheerful or sad
and if desires are good or bad.
It knows all that is within,
be it the smallest hidden sin,
and with the eyes of X-ray
it screens and shows a right way.
The Word of God can all reveal.
It warns, instructs and it can heal,
and when we read the Holy Word,
it opens another world.
