Oh, how the way to God is long,
where doubts grow like weeds
and many things can go wrong
by taking root from their seeds.
What if it's the Sisyphean labour
for Truth among all myths to search,
to love, like Christ, an earthly neighbour -
not just your brother in the church?
This route is not a mere venture,
but it's a Mission, it's a call.
It can excite as an adventure,
but it requires from you all.
It's not for tourists, but for those,
who seek the Lord like Abraham:
to be obedient he chose,
when offered Isaac as a lamb.
Temptations on this way ensnare,
sometimes leading us astray,
but at the distance of a prayer
the Lord is waiting on our way.
God may appear sometimes distant,
but when you for His Kingdom yearn,
He's there for you that very instant
and makes your heart with fire burn.
