"During those days people will seek death
but will not find it; they will long to die,

The time is coming, the time,
when living would envy the dead,
with pestilence, darkness and crime –
the time of fear and dread.
The time of people afflicted, -
the third of the Earth will be killed.
It was in the Bible predicted
and finally will be fulfilled.
“No jot from the Book will be missing,”
Christ said, who from Heaven was sent,
but who to these prophesies listen
and, sorrowful, who would repent?
The name of Christ is maligned,
His Word is forgotten, ignored.
Alas, piling sins of mankind,
most are in self-pleasing absorbed.
And in their trouble and pain
who is now ready to tell
that they were uncaring, vain,
and greedy, deserving all hell?
While people still argue and nit-pick
by trying some points to score,
the time apocalyptic
is waiting at our door!
They blame the Lord for all sorrow, –
no hint of responsible traits!
Who thinks what the future tomorrow
for next generations awaits?
Corruption and apathy reign,
debauchery, ignorance, lust…
Oh, how the world is insane,
not able its Maker to trust!
The Lord has His Son sacrificed.
His torturous harrowing death
by His resurrection supplied
the children of God with His breath.
By sin no longer enslaved,
believers in Christ now yearn
for Kingdom of God, being saved,
and eagerly want His return.
But those, who loved their darkness,
of sinful lifestyles adept,
those hearts grew so cold and heartless,
their minds are dull and inept.
They seek no God, no Saviour,
act as self-appointed kings,
and only deeper they savour
all known for centuries sins.
While they’re ignoring the warning
(the writing is there, on the wall!),
the time of wailing and mourning
will suddenly come to them all.
With pestilence, darkness and crime,
the time of fear and dread,
the time is coming, the time,
when living would envy the dead.
