To trust the Lord

The New World Order rapidly unrolls
by swiftly changing regulations, laws...
To trust the Lord, His purposes, His goals,
it is not easy and it never was.

When darkness day by day wins inch by inch
and steadily, under "pandemic" guises, creeps,
my soul, seeing this, would like to cringe
and, grieving for humanity, it weeps.

What happened to the people, who forgot
all common sense and their human rights?
They are with fears of the virus fraught,
if they've lost all biblical insights.

What happens to the world, which lives in fear?
It's no longer seeing right from wrong,
to the abyss it's going full gear,
to it's destruction, to its death headlong.

It cannot see the wood, yes, for the trees
with daily cares too preoccupied.
To trust the Lord in times like these
is to resist the darkness' rising tide.

Unswerving and steadfast against the tide,
to trust the Lord that Jesus Christ is stronger
and in His teaching faithfully abide,-
He will all fears and all doubts conquer .

This mass psychosis, I would keep at bay:
this world is suffocating in delusion.
All I can do is, trusting God, to pray
for perishing and lost in this confusion.

To trust the Lord in times like these,
when Satan is all freedoms now squeezing,
is like seeing light through the trees,
though, by all means, it isn't ever easy.

To trust the Lord is to believe His Word,
to know that He loves you, deep inside,
and to ignore the madness of this world,
not being tarnished, like a pure bride.

While others, like fish, take Satan's bait,
accepting as a norm days getting dimmer,
to trust the Lord is patiently to wait
for Jesus Christ, our Saviour, Redeemer.

To trust the Lord is inwardly to know
that darkness of the night ends in the morning,
that spring will come and it will melt the snow,
and joys are coming after grief and mourning.
