What could have been...

Альбина Кумирова
I wouldn't let my soul carefree
to be your love and poems' generator.
This could have been, but this can never be
ni now, ni tomorrow, ni later.

For me you wouldn't lose your head and I,
not stirring feelings, will in peace remain.
The love I knew before, elated, high,
can't be repeated in my life again.

What could have been, when we were young and strong,
if we had met each other at that time,
is now inappropriately wrong,
and we are like words that don't rhyme.

My earthly dreams are broken, alas.
What for I long, on Earth I cannot find.
Another world like through a misty glass
appears and attracts my whole mind.

The debris of two ships, swept on the beach,
to earthly love we cannot now sail,
but there is a place we can reach,
when our dreams and aspirations fail.

Yes, by the will of God, who let us meet,
all former passions cannot now surface,
but when we can't these happy days repeat,
we'd compliment each other in God's service.

The love of Christ in our souls beams,
restoring us today, invigorating,
and giving hope that's beyond all dreams,
which is in Heaven's realm for us awaiting.

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure."
1 John 3:1-3

"Whoever has my commandments and keeps them loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.” "
John 14:21

"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20

Our love for Jesus the Son is answered by divine love and care from Father and Son alike.
