All who are wretched and poor
often are treated with scorn.
Jesus’ words reassure:
“Blessed are those, who mourn”.
All expectations today
are to be wealthy and fit,
but when in troubles we pray,
God blesses them, who submit.
Not like others, God’s thinking,
but to repentance to prod,
He lets our boat be sinking,
so we’re appealing to God.
When in despair we’re crying,
hearts then become purified,
we no longer are lying
to ourselves in our pride.
And, when we suffer, we know
what Christ Himself had endured:
making Himself very low,
Jesus salvation secured.
Rescuing from worldly madness,
which can our souls ensnare,
through our hurting and sadness
we learn Christ’s pain to share.
And when we learn of His passion,
He carries ours pain,
comforting us with compassion,
if in His grace we remain.
In our sorrows meeting,
meeting in our grief,
He makes all suffering fleeting,
bringing to souls relief.
If with beloved you parted,
Jesus will give a new start.
healing the brokenhearted,
mending the broken heart.
Them, who in meekness desire
for Jesus Christ to step in,
when they go through fire,
know: God can intervene!
Binding your wounds, as His cares,
Christ will your soul restore.
You will forget nightmares,
remembering them no more.
And don’t suffer in vain,
when human soul is torn.
When you are troubled in pain,
“Blessed are those, who mourn”.
