the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Unless a man is born again,
God’s Kingdom is beyond our reach,
because, alas, we cannot bleach
the sins that our souls stain.
I marvel how God creates
new persons, starting from within,
by first convicting us of sin
and how patiently He waits…
Repentance is that very seed,
from which a great faith springs
that fruit of holy living brings
and meets the deepest human need.
The need for life in His care
gives roots of hope, stems of grace
that stops for worldly goals chase,
which could attract us and ensnare.
The quiet voice in the heart,
as much as it appears odd,
the voice of Creator God
is what can your salvation start.
If we are turning a deaf ear,
bent sinful life to condone,
the Lord could use a megaphone,
which through our pain we could hear.
His call, so powerfully strong,
tells us to listen and relent,
our sinful ways to amend
and for the love of Christ to long.
Oh, not in vain, not in vain
a bitter painful event
sometimes by the Lord is sent
to break a stubborn heart, like grain.
Through tears and through sleepless nights
the heart, convicted by its sins,
a journey to the Lord begins
to reach spiritually heights.
God always acts for our best,
and everyone, who Christ believed,
His Holy Spirit thus received,
then in His Kingdom will be blessed.
Like a newborn, the soul drinks
the milk of the eternal Word
that bonds believer to the Lord,
affecting how he acts and thinks.
The Father God provides care,
and we, in order to mature,
sometimes discipline endure,
but not beyond that we could bear.
A transformation takes its place
to change the character within,
and no longer keen to sin,
the soul relishes God’s grace.
To please the Father God alone
new cravings come to the new born
away from lies, greed, or porn, -
the former life makes him groan.
He long for purity, although
the old habits call again,
and cause us on occasions pain,
and off the track sometimes throw.
While God’s new ways are explored,
the Satan’s hordes are setting traps,
they wish our faith to collapse,
but cannot snatch us from the Lord.
For on the earth, where evil stalks,
the new born spirit has to grow,
and God will help to fight the foe
and to remove whatever blocks.
The new believer starts to see
Christ’s love and wants to imitate,
God’s grace to others radiate,
for love of God will make us free.
