Occassional flashes of light, care and love
Can trick the one who's in the dark,
Exhausted and deprived, who's tricked into believing
That it's a standard way of living,
That you can scream, but no one hears it,
That no one likes your views or your opinions,
That you are worthless,
Voiceless, powerless,
And you believe them...
The one who gets some praise and love,
Only when there's something valuable they've got
Can still be tricked into believing
That those who constantly mistreat them
Do truly love and care for them,
Because they give some love in doses, despite how limited and rare
