Nowadays it’s so hard
for men to know their role,
against worldly tides on guard,
to keep protected their soul.
Bombarded from his childhood,
a boy is growing confused,
when media and Hollywood
all sorts of propaganda used.
He thinks: I’m born a girl, perhaps,
and changes foolishly his sex,
but when some years then elapse,
he’s left with problems more complex.
Pushed by the media massive hype,
another cannot see his wrong,
when he becomes a macho type -
aggressive, domineering, strong.
Oh, where to find antidotes
to what such propaganda yields,
when it wrong images promotes?
What from such influences shields?
Yet, there was a man, who was
an image great to imitate,
and who is still should be the cause
to seek in Him each manly trait.
His strength was not to dominate,
but in His character it’s laid,
that’s capable to captivate
by love, so holy and unswayed.
There is no one, who had surpassed
His faithful, caring attitude,
who lifted up all downcast
and no selfish goals pursued.
Who is He? Surely, you guessed!
Who’s more than Jesus strong and meek -
the man in whom could find rest
all, who are weary and weak?
Not in biceps man’s strength, it is
inside him, it is within.
A real man can freely breathe,
when he overcomes a sin.
Oh yes, it’s not an easy task
to be a man nowadays,
a Christian without a mask,
a pure heart for Christ ablaze.
The Lord for him is always first,
and on the Lord he always waits,
and having for God’s Word a thirst,
he studies it and meditates.
A loyalty in him to dwell,
he as as his own habit habit took
by drawing wisdom from the well
of the God’s given Holy Book,
Integrity and servanthood,
are qualities of godly men.
A man, who once was born-again,
avoids lies and falsehood.
To preach the gospel Jesus sends
such people to the world around,
and they expose worldly trends,
remaining in their minds sound.
The one who is a real man
tries always to understand.
How noble is a man, who can
forgive, his spirit being grand!
He doesn’t crumble at the tests,
but, prayerful, in God he trusts,
his time wisely invests,
avoiding worldly lure and lusts.
Self-disciplined, brave, and alert,
yet, being humble in his heart,
he does authority exert,
when from the world he stands apart.
He imitates Christ, His love,
defending and protecting weak,
by strength that’s given from above,
he learns to be like Jesus meek.
Such men exist, though they’re rare,
their character is like a gem,
when they for God’s Kingdom care
to shine inwardly through them.
