Although in this world, of this I'm sure,
to seek acceptance is a common sense,
I'd rather have my name to be obscure,
and I can do without compliments.
What for I need to feed my selfish pride,
that seeks a satisfaction for the soul?
Unless You, Jesus, in my verses guide,
all efforts vanish like in a black hole.
Unless You give me, Lord, an inspiration
and open my ears, heart, and mind,
futile is and vain aspiration
a recognition on this Earth to find.
Yet, when I want to glorify Your name,
the Holy Spirit then my soul revives,
and then I feel, it shines in Your fame,
and in Your rays it flourishes and thrives.
