“No one can serve two masters.
Either you will hate the one and love the other,
or you will be devoted to the one
and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and money."
Matthew 6:24
By loving darkness more than light,
preferring sin to Christ's salvation,
humanity has lost the sight
of God's most great manifestation.
To be on Golgotha displayed,
Christ had appeared once for all,
so, when repentant, every soul
could live, as He for us was slayed.
He took our sin, He took our death,
so that we could be resurrected
just by the power of His breath
to be to higher realms connected.
So we could start our lives afresh-
not by our efforts, but His power-
enabling us to conquer flesh,
when Christ is our strong tower.
But how many have declined
the greatest offer to exist,
who are spiritually blind,
who Jesus stubbornly resist?
Preferring money, wealth, and fame,
responding to the heart's ambition,
they'll meet the Lord one day with shame,
trapped in an earthly competition.
Attracted by the lures of sin,
they chose the devil as their master,
while they try the world to win,
their lives head for a disaster.
My heart is doleful for those,
who had ignored the Saviour's call,
and recklessly their fate chose
of the destruction of the soul.
