"There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Romans 8:1-2
If I look at traits of mine,
at my character in whole,
it can easily combine
things discordant in my soul.
I can be opinionated,
hoarder, critical, or loud,
by self-confidence inflated,
stubborn, or sometimes proud.
Yet, I can be, to be fair,
by compassion driven, and
ready meals and things to share
and to lend to friends a hand.
When I have received salvation,
God renews my heart within.
There is no condemnation:
God forgave me every sin.
I became His dear daughter,
and He cares for my needs.
I will walk with Him on water,
as He to His Kingdom leads.
I can fear no waves
that are threateningly strong,
knowing that Jesus saves,
if I to my Lord belong.
One should live without complacence,
taking Jesus as the8 guide,
so I need to shed impatience,
my impertinence and pride.
It's not easy, to honest,
in Christ Jesus to mature,
but because the Lord had promised
life eternal, I endure.
He's renewing me, reforming,
wanting goodness to increase,
to Christ's likeness conforming,
so I could Him daily please.
I'm changing and adjusting
to His perfect holy will.
For God's purpose I'm trusting
that He wants me to fulfil.
He will give a white gown,
treating me as His good friend,
and adorn me with a crown,
if I'm loyal to the end.
