These versions of us

Марина Чиянова
You and I in the past -
Two pie diagrammes,
Two vans of knowledge
Packed with books

And never otherwise.

You and I now -
The light and shadows,
Contrastive, transriverine,
Still adjoined
To the celestial sphere.

The likes of us,
These doppelg;ngers
In a sombre corridor,
Still waiting for mercy
From the very albae of our days -
You as an oscillating axis,
Me as a mask of presence,
A seemingly vulnerable
Agritainment-laden
Orifice

Who merely craves to hear your voice
In between the alerts.

Both of us are
Overtly courteous,
Able to do the unthinkable,
Irreverent towards the evil,
Seeking internal glorification
Of miniscule masterpieces.

NB!

As usual, this is my independent work.

Sources of inspiration:

Old albums of Alicia Keys and religious hymns of several confessions.

In visual arts - grafitti, architectural miracles of various epochs, les 'filmes noirs' and late classicism.
