The great eye dreams

Athena
The great eye dreams, the lashes roar
It sees through atmospheric lid.
And all the vastness of the world -
Its stars, among the fishes sleep.

The galaxies, like seas of scales,
Disturb the pupils’ pensive stare…
Yet, eyes above gaze at the Fair,
Light blue – oblivious of the deep.

If they would come and hear our “reasons”
A wave, a blink, a wave
To measure life, to price a rose
Away, my mates, away
Their mermaids’ songs –
                would freeze in prose.
