Это попытка перевести стих "Мы - джинны, мы - боги" (опубликованый здесь - http://stihi.ru/2006/11/05-732) на английский язык. Что из этого получилось судите сами.
We’re genies and gods, we are people and beasts.
We crave to gain love, loose it we want the least.
We do much of evil, for justice’s sake.
We kill friends and foes, behind everyone’s back.
We strive towards freedom by stepping on mines.
We are source of death that scares our minds.
We’ll all go to hell tell us Moses’ books.
This isn’t the truth! This is not how it looks!
Yet thinking non-stop of the might-have-been heaven,
We waste our lives in a “ramshackle barn”.
We’re all like deaf fellows do not hear own souls,
And do choose erroneous goals as follows.
But we do forget that we’re kids of the nature,
That we are the nature and all its creatures.
We’re the left and the right. We’re the sun and the sky.
Likewise, we are freedom which no one can buy.
We’re something amazing and something that’s banal.
Moreover, we’re something that is paranormal.
And if we do stop to believe in own frauds,
We'll than realize that we’re genies and gods.
