Лето без роз

Явилось лето – и без роз.
Где ж дрозд и где скворец ?
Небесный свод – не голубой.
Неужто я – слепец ?
Весь твой цветник, что пышно рос,
переменил свой цвет.
Ты пела раньше: «Я – с тобой !».
Теперь сказала: «Нет !».
На деле небо – с синевой.
И розы – сплошь.стеной.
И птицы – вот – пустились в лёт.
Лишь в сердце непокой.
Любовь мне лжёт, и жизнь мне лжёт.
Меня морочит свет.
Мне губы, спевши: « Я - с тобой !» -
сегодня молвят: «Нет !».
Мне мнится, птицы без меня
умчатся в темень туч,
мне снится венчик золотой
забывший светлый луч.
То место, травами маня,
мне всё ещё шлёт свой привет.
Мы целовались там весной,.
теперь сплошной запрет.
«Хоть лги, хоть будь само собой», -
зову я лето вспять.
И пусть мутится голова,
но пусть придут опять -
земля, листва, роса, трава.
Здесь лечь - не помнить бед,
где пела прежде: «Я – с тобой !»;
где нынче слышу: «Нет !»

Summer ! – do I care what you do ?
You cannot change one place –
The grass, the leaves, the earth, the dew,
The grave I make the spot –
Here, where she used to love me,
