No one to love

Александр Тер-Габриелян
You feel like you know a couple of things.
Perhaps you're right,
The Sun's like your kite,
The eye that's glowing in the sky,
And you can love, and you can cry...
You feel like you know a couple of things.

Never wasting money,
Never wasting time.
Thought it's sort of funny
Stretching out for beams from the sky
Catching sleeping bunnies
Running wildly in the rye.

Now you see this homeless sky,
Get to know that every drop of rain
Tries to think and understand,
Tries to please you though it can't.
Biting fingers gives the pain -
Tell me now of what remains.

Sailing timid doomless memories,
Sacking rocks of what is left of dreams,
Sitting ousted drinking tea of mint,
Seeking causes and results,
Fighting, always fighting for your luck
But the wind does not redeem.

The wind rolls mute. It doesn't even whisper.
You're all alone. Without a dream.
Where is your cunning plan,
Your diary of deeds?
Where is the magic spell
You used someday to start to live?

Always used to break the doors that didn't open...
This one's somehow staying closed -
No one to count on,
Nothing to beg for,
No one to talk to,
Nothing to come.

There's no one to pray to,
And no one to love.
