Stairway to Heaven... imitation of Led Zeppelin

Âëàäèìèð Õîðîøåâñêèé
Îðèãèíàëüíûé òåêñò:

There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buyin’ a Stairway to Heaven.
When she gets there she knows,
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Oooh, oooh-ooh, and she's buyin’ a Stairway to Heaven.

There's a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook,
There's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feelin’ I get
When I look to the west,
And my spirit is cryin’ for leavin’.
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who standin’ lookin’.
Ooooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

Your head is hummin’ and it won't go, in case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whisperin’ wind.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How ev'rything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll!

And she's buyin’ a Stairway to Heaven…

Ïîäðàæàíèå:

She was proud and strong,
Therefore so alone,
Never searched for a Stairway to Heaven;
Her unsociable, wild
Look with no shadow of smile
As a rule just repelled guys and men…
Oooh, oooh-ooh, rather often repelled guys and men!..

Only theatres, books -
The things she couldn’t refuse,
Once she tried to compose a song-etude;
Seldom laughter at home
When she’s talkin’ by phone
To her mother, and voice was so good!..
Ooooh, she was so lonely,
Ooooh, she was so lonely!..

Time was showin’ the way
To the Misfortune black bay,
But she saw no true way from this road;
Bein’ precious and wise
Had to say the last “good-bye”
To not cosy, ungracious world!
Ooooh, she had no hope,
Ooooh, she even had no hope!..

One of a grey rainy days
She felt heavy despair
Of the fact there’s nobody near;
Such a feelin’ was grown
As a great cruel storm
So she went outside for some beer…
-----------------------------------------------------------
There was the pub she used to be there a well-known habitue,
She came in, sat down at a table,
Her face was sad but she was very smart and pretty,
A little later she saw a handsome man…
And she’d got excited…

He had been starin’ with the obviously interest,
With strange warm kindness at her;
In a few hours she would be a lucky lovin’ mrs,
And sorrow never returned!
------------------------------------------------------
They were so happy many years,
Had got five babies, faithful friends,
Bought large rich house, modern yacht!..
But life, alas, is very short! -
One day bad heartache killed them both
And their Earth lives then had been closed,
As if they lost the doors of game -
Time of their dead was just the same,
To Paradise stretched out the way!..

They had found their Stairway to Heaven!
