What is flying? Butterfly

Александр Кавокин
Butterflies are flying by.
Rainbow wings erratic line.
How long would they survive?
Pristine, precious and shy.

Week? Or Month or half a year?
Coming quickly, staying here.
To create next generation
To survive in desperation.

Coming cold. Autumn's nigh
Freezing days are moving spry.
Butterflies' re still flying high.
Drying air, tight supply.

But they will reincarnate.
Caterpillars have to shade
Old, worn out cocoon.
And the next Spring coming soon.

And again Rainbow glow.
Wind is quick and some wind's slow.
Butterflies again at flow.
From below to sky row.
