"What is wisdom?» little boy asked his weary mom,
"Your dad knows better," she remained to his question dumb,
"What is wisdom?" the boy addressed to his reading dad,
"Go to grandpa, son, I haven't gained that in my age yet,"
Grandpa was busy gathering sand grains in his garden,
When the curious kid approached him all of a sudden,
"What is wisdom? I asked both mom and dad,
They haven't told me anything and I'm so upset..."
Grandpa lifted the latest grain from the ground,
Took off his cracked glasses and turned around,
"Now that I've gathered all the million grains in my hand,
Now that my wrinkled eyes are almost full of seashore sand...
I know I haven't gained wisdom so far,
It's something that will come to you under the fading light of star,
Something that will close your eyes accompanying in latest journey,
Without any fear through the highest waves of ocean stormy,
Wisdom comes to all at latest candlelight,
When eyes are almost blind but still they sparkle bright,
Wisdom comes to all with latest suffered breath,
It comes for moment and disappears with the sigh of death...
Inspired boy couldn`t fall asleep that starlit night,
He stretched his tiny palms to velvet sky and cried:
''Where is that star that sheds its light and makes us wise?
What should I do to make wisdom settle in my childish eyes?
Or should I wait for wrinkles to chain my curious face,
When my old trembling body will fall in eternity embrace?..''
Suddenly a tiny star appeared from the twilight clouds,
Sleeping moon yawned and turned it`s hidden side around,
''You are two young, my curious boy'', said moon with a wink,
''But at your age already you see eternity in just one blink,
It means there are some sparks of wisdom in your childish eyes,
You`ll see the paths no one has seen… but don`t rush your time…''
He blinked there times and moon was sleeping as before,
He started to count and was asleep till he stopped at four.
The tiny star was watching him from twilight sky above
To surround this curious wise child with care and love…
