I know sometimes you think I don't remember
As it's exactly what I think at times.
We've never been, won't ever be together,
And yet I am so yours and you're so mine.
Whatever you're up to - I am there.
I'm looking at you, watching you do things.
I see you turning round in despair
To find there's noone. But you just can't see.
And late at night your eyes are often open:
You stare at no where, lost in thoughts.
You dream of me, of life you could have chosen,
And in your head there are so many plots.
I wish I could just touch you in your sleep
So that you would remember it next day.
I wish you were at least at night with me.
I'd stay with you. Whatever it could take.
When you're awake - I'm also not asleep.
When you're in pain - I'm fighting with my rue.
'Cos you are here invisibly with me.
And I am there invisibly with you.
