The day, half-joyful, half-sad -
The distance of the Umbr mountains.
Suddenly - the breeze and short rain,
Outside window - a loud choir.
There, in window - the Perugino's fresco -
The black eye's laughing, the breast breathes:
Someone with a swarthy hand dares,
But fails a busket to bring...
On the busket - a white note, as that :
"Questa sera... [today in the evening...] the Fransisco's convent..."
