Pure breed horses rise dust in their fanciful dances,
Curiosity and trembling bring the crowd to life.
To the capital centre in a carriage advances
The refined and capricious our monarch’s wife.
Smiles, derogative only, are th' response to the bowers,
All th' crowd are mere slaves, no distinction -- awhile.
Yet she suddenly notices near the temple bell towers
Something brighter, more colourful, that extinguishes her smiles.
A ragamuffin, more handsome than any in the pool of court lovers --
Reached for her sensuality -- a burning breeze on her knees --
And a female is disturbed in her by the marvel discovered,
And she trembles suddenly, like a tune ill at ease.
And she ordered, th' capricious, to install th' ragamuffin
Onto th' cushions of atlas, just right next to her side,
And the crowd, offended, could not help then but blushing,
Though remained, on the outside, always keen to subside.
When, the charmed and confused, really frightened vagrant
Half-unconsciously followed her distasteful command,
The wasted dame chucked away the lowly clothing, too fragrant,
And the carriage crash down her caprice marionette.

Оборванец, красивее всех любовников замка,
Шевелил ее чувственность, раболепно застыв,
И проснулась в ней женщина, и проснулась в ней самка,
И она передернулась, как в оркестре мотив.
Повелела капризница посадить оборванца
На подушку атласную прямо рядом с собой.
И толпа оскорбленная не сдержала румянца,
Хоть наружно осталася безнадежной рабой.
А когда перепуганный — очарованный нищий
Бессознательно выполнил гривуазный приказ,
Утомленная женщина, отшвырнув голенищи,
Растоптала коляскою марьонетку проказ...
