Unrevealed

Светик Петрова
Ancestors’ secrets are codified and unrevealed,
Something universal is hidden in naked truth,
Be it a merry chirp of a bird at the mountain hill
Or fervent serenade under triumphant moon.

Innocent laughter or someone’s naughty tricks,
Dance of dandelion fluff spreading by the wind,
Ancient fortress erected carefully brick by brick
Or morning kiss left in a hurry on her silky skin.

Youthful tears pouring out of the cup of life,
Silent fortitude and loud scream to go back,
As witnesses or actors involved into this strife
We have no right to deviate from given track.

We are definitely more than those silent tears,
Heaps of universal vigor lie inside our brains,
By mighty hands grown and hardened for years,
Able to distinguish between minor and main.

And yet with great potential we are unrevealed,
Always in a shadow of vividly imagined stars,
We chase after illusive life but real one is built
And we are destined to be where we are.
