A zebrarider

Дмитрий Бек-Лемешев
Our life is like a wildish zebra
All strangely striped with black and white
That after each huge darkest cloud
Brings in bright cheerful sunlight.

Our pains and pleasures; right and wrong
Seem woven, inbuilt, interlacing.
Along Life pathways, streets, and lanes
Our Whites and Blacks are freely pacing.

Become this zebra's skillful rider,
The master of this life's chess-board.
Fly high, think fast, walk tall, look wider...
With you yourself live in accord.
