Midnight Stranger

passing streets of Broadway beat
Under The crimson-tinted dawn of heat.
I shall never be lost but I am..
far away in illuminated fire
In the dreams of dread and desire.

I shall never come back but I am
In the dawn of Manhattan's roofs
I sit by the domes, in the bars,
Smoking tiny cigars.
Superstars walking by..
No desire to speak,
No desire to look,
No desire to know..
some are so young,
Some suffer so much,
Some gone to their ashes of life
Some rose and strife.

In electric lights of Broadway
The way to say -no to denials,
The way to go miles and miles,
The way to find your own desire,
Wild happiness of falling leaves
Yellow, pale, and Red
Falling to your feet
On a broadway street.
