If it could be that a cat shared its mind
One foggy morning, to cigarette smoke,
Putting old memories, signs left behind,
Loose beads of love on a thread as it spoke,
I would discover how hard it must be,
Bundling up, to send warmth to the air,
To end my springtime, spent passionately,
By giving life that the world will not spare...
We will say nothing, the cat and the man...
Weekends drink promise from each weekday's dawn.
Cat, don't you cry, we will think of a plan,
Plan under which we will go on and on.
