What a wonderful toy

What a wonderful toy – so close,
So far, sent by Heaven to my
Arms. Taking care of it, of course,
One day would make the world divine.

We could share the sky for two,
For thee – being five we could glare
As Sun itself, we’d be as true
As Love willing to share.

We could be if not angels – Gods.
Can you feel how your heart grows?
And from now we are happy clods:
You count bodies, and I - souls…

And I doubt that death can part
Those who have been so long in search
Even wind has no right to puff,
Ever extintinguish our torch.
