Chet’s specialty were bebop, cool jazz and West Coast.
He had succeeded before to drug addiction all he lost.
His trumpet playing – lyrical, vigorous, tender, inspiring.
Unique was Baker’s sound creation, execution or firing.
When starting out, moving forward he achieved acclaim,
Praise, recognition, audience’s love, appreciation, fame.
Chet’s deep understanding of music, passion & intuition
Contributed to jazz expertise, as he pursued his mission.
Baker could reach his innovative nature’s higher heights
If he continued evolving, touching fans souls and hearts.

To chronic addiction, the outcome resulted to be fatal.
Remembering his contribution to jazz field, institution.
He loved to improvise with music, making novel fusion.
