Mr Bark is Nora’s gardener. He is an old man who’s changed a lot of trades during his life. When he was a shop-assistant his shop went bankrupt. When he was a teacher his pupils could not read or write. When he worked for a construction company, all his houses collapsed when a little kitten sneezed. When he was a cook, O.K., I wouldn’t like to talk about food poisoning.
So Mr Bark was Jack of all trades and master of none. And now he is a gardener. Nobody believes it. Mr Bark is busy all day long digging in his garden. Even Nora, who is never pleased, can’t help liking her new gardener. She is so happy because he is never idle. What luck! Nora’s husband, Mike, is very glad too.
