Gosha

Gosha is a bird who lives in a cage. Some people believe he is a parrot. Forget it! Parrots are stupid birds who live about a hundred years. As to Gosha, he is a green budgie. And he is proud of it.
A parrot can be big, strong or stylish but no parrot can talk like a man. Gosha is very clever because he can speak Russian. All his friends respect him for it. In fact, it’s an old tradition. For example his grandpa Tosha could speak German, and his grandma could listen to him for hours. Now we call it a happy family life.
Gosha loved his grandparents, so he learned Russian when he was in Magadan. I can’t say his Russian is classical enough, yet common people understand him easily. His speech is very idiomatic, you know. So, as his grandpa used to say in good German: ‘‘Live and learn, my dear boy!’’
