So hard to smile over shoulder

Татьяна Сидоренко 3
So hard to smile over shoulder,
Vanish the secret sacred glimpse.
And if I once get little bolder,
You'll see my world is not what it seems.

Going wherever leads you nowhere
If you don't trust your inner map,
And if you strive for endless welfare
You get yourself into a trap.

Don't get too cozy, it's delusion.
I've seen those chains: their weight and rust.
Believe me, boy, your world's illusion,
It's only heart that you can trust.

But do you see the things I'm saying?
Is it your genuine applause?
Are you content with th' plot you're playing?
Or can you see a greater cause?

Like can you see the vast of heaven?
Like can you count the countless stars?
Your rainbow colours are of seven?
Enough to draw your memoirs?

Like do you know how many people
Have never seen just mere light?
But all the greatest things are simple,
They always tell the wrong from right.

Like have you listened to the music
Of centuries of planet's turn?
It grew with time in wondrous motive
Even before you were born.

Like have you breathed the air of freedom?
Like have you tasted truly life?
Or all your hunger is for Eden?
And horn of plenty is your strife?

Like have you melted in the water?
Like have you flown with the wind?
'Cause all that mankind knows is slaughter
With only god of glory fiend.

Like have you felt your soul so spanless
That overcomes all space and time?
Can you imagine something Endless
That has no End and has no Prime?

I bet you do, but never care,
'Cause human nature is to flee
Away from questions to bear,
They're so afraid to set them free.

From chains of fear, life's satire,
From masks to wear on the loose,
From terror to be burn on pyre,
Preferring lies to any truth.

I know. So hush, my boy, for a while,
You've got so tired through the day,
And me... I'll give you all my pretty smile...
Until I find my own way.
