Меняя повадки и стиль,
И в праздники, и в рабочие дни,
То шторм разыграют, то штиль…
Мирские печали и радости,
То дождь, то мороз, то жара,
То горькие слезы, то сладости…
Такая у Майи игра…
Мы ей предаемся неистово,
И жаждем все новых страстей,
Сгорая, не видим мы Истину
Сквозь мглу бесполезных затей.
В конце все решается наскоро,
Нежданно, стремительно, вдруг!
К нам смерть прикасается ласково,
Как добрый старинный наш друг…
И все повторяется заново,
Но просит душа тишины,
Дрожитт оленихою загнанной,
Ей Майи дары не нужны…
Шри Гоура ей дарит спасение,
В экстазе Он Кришну зовет…
Развить бы нам только смирение,
Терпеть и отвергнуть почет…
Пока мы унылые узники
Мирских невеселых забот,
Но в пальцах вальсируют бусинки –
То Гопи ведут хоровод…
