Fear of unknown

Пётр Квитко
People usually fear unknown. One way to deal with unknown is to make it known by discovery and learning. But as Aristotle said: The more you know, the more you know you don't know. So the more we know the more we realize that unknown is infinite. In fact, the unknown becomes larger than before we started learning. Therefore, according to the first statement fear should increase the more we know. The only way to deal with the fear is religion. Some Bible quotes about fear are listed below:

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.
