A Little Silver Fish. Not a fairy tale

It was early morning...
Warm brilliant waves were licking the gold sand...
Suddenly the wave splashed a little fish out of the ocean's depth...
The sun, rising up over the  endless space and gazing at the lonely beach
awaking from the night's dreams was sending  its hot thin golden rays to every alive feature...
Every thing was praising a new day...
And only the little fish  tried to catch every tiny salty drop to last its expiring life...
Everything was in vain...

There was nothing to help the fish...
There was nobody to save the little God's creature...

But out of the blue the melody swung the waves' song up!
It was the sheriff who returned home after the long difficult night.
He was tired but happy because he made his job well having kept the safety of a small village.

He was stepping the cool, soft and wet sand by his shoeless feet, whistling the blues and watching the sunrise.
All of a sudden he felt something jelly between his toes...
He bent and took a little fish out... He saw the eyes of that poor thing.
Its pupils were dark as a moonless and starless night but the eye irises were like milk splashed shingles...
The death has already tried to find  the  shelter...
The sheriff sat on the sand without caring his ammunition,  scooped the water up into his big strong  hand that were accustomed to hold a heavy cool  revolver and put the fish into this friendly basin...
The fish felt something strange that splashed inside of its body and as to the sheriff....
It seemed to him that he saw the happiness and  gratitude in fish's small eyes :)
He  loading his palms into the water
and let the little fish to return into the endless ocean... that could hide so much danger but which was so much beloved...

He did not say: Good bye!
  He said:Farewell!
Good luck, little silver fish!
